Loksand was created to stabilise sands and soils, giving them cohesion, structure and form. Where sand lacks structure, it can be difficult to shape and maintain, often leading to erosion and expensive ongoing repairs.
By incorporating Loksand, you can eliminate the natural boundaries and limitations on the use of different sands and soils in structures, slopes, and surfaces.

Most sands have a natural angle of repose, which is the steepest angle at which they can lie without collapsing. Loksand helps bind sand particles together, creating cohesive strength that allows sands and soils to hold their shape more effectively.
Made from a unique crimped polypropylene fibre, Loksand is not easily visible in sand or soil. It has been used successfully across Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States, including in Florida to help recreate bunkering reminiscent of the Sandbelt in Australia.
Loksand is designed to be practical, flexible and easy to work with on site.
Key benefits include:
Golf courses and large landscapes under construction often have open areas exposed to weather, creating a significant risk of erosion. With Loksand, contractors can complete detailed work with greater confidence, knowing their work is better positioned to resist heavy rain, hold in place and protect labour-intensive construction.
Loksand is designed for long-term performance. Environmental factors such as temperature, wind and moisture will not degrade Loksand. It is also not affected by foot traffic, vehicle traffic, insects or animals.

In 2025, Danny Potter formed Loksand Global with the purpose of sharing the benefits of Loksand throughout the golf industry.
Danny began his career as a Golf Course Superintendent in Asia in 1992, during the region’s rise in golf course development. His construction and maintenance roles took him through Thailand, Indonesia and China before he moved into technical sales with a United States fertiliser manufacturer, travelling regularly across Asia and Australia.
Over more than 20 years in the supply and service sector, Danny has built strong relationships with superintendents, general managers, architects and contractors. His first-hand experience with the challenges of golf course development helped shape his focus on practical, effective solutions for the industry.
Danny was first introduced to Loksand in the mid 2000s, but it was not until 2019 that the product’s potential became clear. When architect and Hall of Fame golfer Graham Marsh needed support stabilising steep grass bunker faces on a golf course project in Singapore, Danny used Loksand after extensive testing and research.
The product performed beyond expectations, holding steep bunker faces in place for several months while COVID halted construction. Despite intense tropical rain, the bunkers remained intact until work resumed months later.
Today, golf courses and driving ranges have used Loksand in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, the United States, Mexico and Canada. Loksand Global now has distributors across the United States, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, Benelux and the Nordic countries, supporting golf course architects, superintendents, sports field managers and engineers worldwide.
Bring structure, stability and long-term performance to your next project with Loksand. From bunker edges and steep slopes to erosion control, drainage and high-traffic areas, Loksand provides a practical solution to improve soil strength and turf performance.
